Till January, 9th, 2007 the official name of corporation during more than 30 years was Apple Computer. Refusal of a word "Computer" in the name shows change of the basic focus of corporation from the market of computer technics traditional for it on the market of household electronics: smartphones, audio and videoplayers.

In the beginning of 2007 the company has presented the first smartphone - iPhone which works on operational system OSX.
